Small but mighty.
We designed The Poppy pen roll for minimalist writers and journalers who carry only the basics. This mini waxed canvas pen wrap is perfect for carrying a pocket notebook and your favourite pens. 

It has four compartments for pens, pencils, or markers. The inside pocket is designed to fit a small A6 (9x16 cm) pocket notebook. Additionally, we added one outside pocket where you can store loose papers, postcards, or other essentials.

Because of a long flap inside, your pens will stay in place and protected, no matter how much you fill the roll. We added a small zippered pocket to hold an eraser, washi tape, or tiny treasures. There's also a handy D-ring to clip on keys.

We built it with high-quality, durable, water-resistant waxed canvas, so this pen roll is a reliable companion, built to withstand the demands of daily use and travel.

The vegetable-tanned leather strap is adjustable, so you can pack the roll as full or empty as you like.

Since vegetable-tanned leather and waxed canvas develop a rich patina with use, your pencil roll will become uniquely yours.

Outer Fabric & Lining:
Our waxed canvas is made in Scotland from sustainably sourced cotton and biodegradable waxes. Free from PFCs. Our suppliers are partners of the bluesign® system, ensuring responsible and sustainable textile production.

Leather Details:
We source our vegetable-tanned leather from Italian tanneries that are members of the Genuine Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium. The leather is tanned using natural materials and traditional methods, without the use of chromium.

WHICH PENCIL ROLL WILL BEST FIT YOUR NEEDS?

This is our smallest pen roll and we designed it primarily for those who carry pocket journals. It comfortably fits an A6 notebook on the inside and has an additional outside pocket for loose paper. It has 4 pen compartments. These compartments are slightly larger than in other cases to comfortably fit thicker pens.

If you carry an A5 notebook with you, we recommend our small roll up pencil case which we designed specifically for journalers and writers. It comfortably fits an A5 notebook on the inside and has an additional pocket for smaller notebooks like A6. It has 7 pen compartments. These compartments are slightly larger than in other cases to comfortably fit thicker pens.

We recommend choosing our medium pencil roll if you need more space. We made this one for artists on the go. Inside, it fits a smaller notebook B6, and tools like scissors, rulers, and similar tools. It holds at least 13 pencils. On the outside, it has two large pockets that will fit an A5 notebook or sketchbook.

If you need even more space and want your sketchbook to be protected from the elements, opt for our largest artist roll. This roll fits an A5 notebook or sketchbook on the inside, plus a smaller A6 notebook as well. Like the medium roll, this one also fits at least 13 pencils. It also has two large pockets on the outside for additional loose papers or small notebooks.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR WAXED CANVAS PENCIL ROLL:

For newer dirt, simply hose (or shower) the pencil roll with lukewarm water (water only, no soap). For older, dried-up dirt, use a soft bristle brush to brush away the dirt, then shower the bag.
Please do not machine wash, dry clean, or use detergents, bleach, or other harsh chemicals on your bag. This is damaging to the environment and terrible for your bag.
